Haukdun Danseys Pass Trip

A combined Upper Clutha, Dunedin Branch trip to the Haukdun Danseys Pass area. This is a week end trip to explore the area out of which the Government is proposing a Conservation Park - one of the 'Six Pack of Parks'. There will be opportunity for those wanting to climb up onto the Hawkdun Range through land already designated Conservation Land. For those wishing more leisurely walking there will be walking in tussock country, or the historic mining areas. Also there are plenty of walks through the Naseby forests.
We have booked 20 beds/bunks at the Naseby Holiday Park, in chalets or cabins. We would appreciate from members wishing to come a firm booking by Monday 18th December. If more than 20 wish to come there are ample sites for tents, or caravans. The price for the beds/ bunks will vary between $17 and $20; bottom sheet and pillow supplied.
We will be having a party dinner on the Saturday night, probably a piza and salad meal, but BYO liquid refreshment. As members will be arriving at different times on the Friday night, other meals including breakfasts we will leave to members' own likes and dislikes. There are adequate facilities for cooking at the park, as there are showers etc. Lunches will be out in the field.
Bring your sleeping bags and billies. Some 4WD vehicles would be a help, Good walking boots are essential, so too is bad weather gear - even in summer the weather can change very quickly in this part of the world.
