Millennium Track Project

On recent survey of the plants to date showed we have approxiately 665 plants are growing.
This is a wonderfull result considering what sort of conditions they have had, not too mention the rabbits.

We are just in the process of organising an other planting day for September this year, more on that when the details are available

Stoat trapping Haast Rd

Doc cleared the trap line on First week in July results as follows;
12 stoats and 1 rat which is a lot for this time of the year.
Next clearence is the week 30 th July

Garden Bird survey, Get involved

Garden Bird Survey 2007

A collaborative garden bird survey is to be organised by members of Landcare Research, Forest & Bird, Ornithological Society, Department of Conservation, Royal Society and various city and regional councils. The survey will monitor the distribution and population trends of common garden birds in New Zealand and will take place during the period 14–22 July 2007.
