By joining Forest and Bird you will become a member of New Zealand's leading independent conservation organisation. As a non-profit and non-government organisation Forest and Bird depends on membership subscriptions, donations and bequests. It is your support and generosity that enables Forest and Bird to continue working for our environment.

As a member of Forest and Bird you will:

*Gain satisfaction from the knowledge that you are contributing to the conservation and protection of New Zealand's native wildlife and wild places.

*Receive the Forest & Bird magazine - four full colour issues a year, delivered to your mailbox.

*Receive regular issues of Conservation News containing the latest in environmental news.

*Have the opportunity to participate to the level you desire, in a large, successful, grassroots conservation group.

*Be informed by your local branch of trips, walks and conservation projects in your area.

*Stay at Forest and Bird's reasonably priced lodges around the country.

Categories and Prices

All membership subscriptions are for one year from the time you join, except the 'Life' membership, which is for the member's lifetime. A standard Forest and Bird membership is for New Zealand residents and consists of:

*Four issues of Forest & Bird per year - our high quality natural history and conservation magazine.

*Four issues of Conservation News per year - our newsletter containing the latest in environmental news.

*Notification from your local branch of trips, walks and conservation projects in your area.

*Access to Forest and Bird's accommodation around the country.

Family memberships: Adult, Senior and Junior memberships may be family memberships at no additional cost. Additional family members in the household can be named on the membership.
